This course is designed to equip Adult Learners with the skills and knowledge required to perform light vehicle alignment operations in the automotive service and repair industry. Throughout the course, you will learn how to identify and confirm the job required, prepare for the task, conduct a pre-alignment inspection, carry out the wheel alignment process, and complete necessary workplace documentation and procedures.

The course focuses on light vehicles and light commercial vehicles, providing hands-on experience and theoretical understanding of the key techniques involved in wheel alignment.

When completed, learners will be familiar with industry standards and best practices for wheel alignment and will be prepared to apply these skills in a professional setting. Some states or territories may have specific licensing, legislative, or regulatory requirements, so it is recommended to check with the relevant authorities for any certifications or additional qualifications required.

By completing this course, you will be able to:

• Identify, obtain and interpret information to perform a wheel alignment, recognise workplace health and safety measures, and select the tools and equipment needed for the job.
• Test the vehicle following and complete a wheel alignment pre-check according to workplace guidelines and identify and report any faults.
• Connect the measuring equipment to the vehicle following equipment procedures, perform the alignment and record readings, make necessary adjustments, re-check the alignment for accuracy, and record the final readings.
• Conduct a final inspection to ensure the vehicle is ready for use, clean up the work area and dispose of or recycle materials properly, and complete all required documentation.
